LA VÍE EN RÕPE – If there were ever a time to feast our eyes on a Tommy Hilfiger Fall/Winter campaign, it’s now. Why? Because in 2014 Tommy Hilfiger gave up on the super-stylized indoor photo backgrounds and instead decided to conquer the magnificent landscape around Lake Tahoe, on the border between California and Nevada.
And what better way to do this than with a large team of models, all wearing or holding various pieces of outdoor gear and referencing back to traditional hiking. Titled “La víe en rõpe”, the campaign has an overall youthful, vibrant and sporty tone, yet there is still an urban vibe about the featured items. Perfect for the city AND for a chalet in Aspen – this is the stated concept of the Tommy Hilfiger Fall/Winter 2014 campaign.
In this type of setting, eyewear plays an essential part and most photos feature at least one pair of sunglasses, carefully styled to fit right in. Aviators, round frames and ski goggles – this shoot rightfully presents eyewear as an essential accessory at all times. Boasting golden and rusty tones, these are the types of frames that you buy in a certain season, yet you end up wearing many months after that.
