NOT JUST AN ACCESSORY – If you were to close your eyes and name the first Stella McCartney accessory that came to mind, there’s a hefty chance that that item would be a Falabella bag. Wooing fashion aficionados from all across the world with their fancy chain detailing and unique silhouettes, the Falabella bags are a staple in many IT girls’ closets. And now, the famous name is about to be transfered onto one more class of accessories. That’s right: the Falabella family just got one new member… eyewear, as WWD reports.
Freshly launched, the frames are slowly catching up to speed with their iconic predecessors. And, by the looks of it, it won’t be long before every fashionista will succumb to their charms. Featuring the iconic chain detailing, these brand new glasses are destined to make it onto the most coveted eyewear list.
Launched as part of the designer’s winter collection, the Falabella eyewear range includes four sunglasses and two optical frames. For all of these, only classic silhouettes have made the cut: cat eyes with thick contours and square shades, along with a geometric flat top. All the styles carry the distinctive golden chain – some have it sewn in as a temple detail, while others have it perched right atop the frame. The flat top, in particular, has the chain motif hand-stitched in with black thread, leaving the gold metal chain to steal the show. Being the most detailed and eye-catching item, it should come as no surprise that these particular sunglasses come in a limited edition. Only 500 pairs will be released and each pair will potentially set you back a cool $675. And, if they’re anything like the famous bags, the new Falabella eyewear is bound to be a classic that’ll hold a must-have tag among fashionistas for a long, long time. (WWD)
