THE PRADA RAW EYEWEAR – With Prada eyewear, everything comes down to constant innovation, in synch with the brand’s fashion proposals for the season. This is how, over time, Prada has positioned itself as one of the most important tastemakers in the field, winning the hearts of countless fashionistas in the process. For proof, look no further than the Minimal Baroque sunglasses from the Spring/Summer 2011 Jazz Age collection. The style had a spectacular rise ever since. So much so, that they are still one of the hottest summer styles today. Proof? The new Prada Raw collection.

The Prada Raw Spring/Summer 2015 collection features sunglasses that are made out of selected natural woods. Two precious types of woods adorn the new frames: black walnut and Malabar ebony. As for the shapes? One of them is, you’ve guessed it, the Prada Minimal Baroque silhouette. The other is a beautiful square silhouette with thick wooden contours, the likes of which came out on the Spring/Summer 2015 runway.

For now, the Prada Raw eyewear is only available in only 4 Prada stores worldwide (Milan Galleria, Paris Faubourg St. Honoré, London Old Bond Street and New York Fifth Avenue), with word of an international debut in all the stores come May.

Tagged with #specialprojects on Prada’s website, this is one very special rendition of the now classic Prada silhouette – an alluring treatment for what will surely be one of the summer’s hit eyewear pieces. (Prada, Vogue Italia)
