PRADA RAW AVENUE EYEWEAR – Although filed under #specialprojects, Prada Raw seemed to be just another new eyewear collection from the famous fashion brand. After a few images and an ad campaign in true Prada spirit, the promotional train seemed to stop. Until now, that is.

A new digital experience named Prada Raw Avenue and fully dedicated to Prada’s wooden eyewear styles is about to set sail online. Using video, illustrations and more, the soon-to-be-launched website will be centred around the work of six fashion illustrators that were tapped by Prada to depict the sunglasses in their own way. Carly Kuhn, Megan Hess, Blair Breitenstein, Judith van den Hoek, Wong Ping and Vida Vega will all bring Prada Raw Avenue to life with their animations and illustrations. Iconic Prada looks, paired with the latest Raw eyewear will take over a virtual runway, allowing viewers to experience the frames in a new and exciting way.

The Prada Raw eyewear collection includes two major styles: a rectangular frame with raw detailing and a solid wooden contour, and a fresh new rendition of the now iconic Prada Minimal Baroque silhouette. Finished in black walnut and Malabar ebony, the sunglasses are the expression of exquisite craftsmanship, as the natural irregularity of these precious types of woods turn each pair of frames into a unique accessory.

Without a doubt, the Prada Raw sunglasses are gearing up to be some of the coolest shades for the summer and the mere thought about what’s in store will surely set more than a few fashionistas ablaze with enthusiasm. The complete website experience will released on 26 June at raw.prada.com.
