PRADA JOURNAL GLASSES – Aussie model Gemma Ward stepped back into the fashion world just a few months ago after a long absence from the limelight. Her first gig? Well, she opened the Prada Spring/Summer 2015 show and then she starred in the brand’s mainline campaign. And, beside this, she also happens to front the Prada Journal eyewear campaign, making fans everywhere squeal with joy.
Shot by Steven Meisel on a pastel textured background, Gemma poses in both sunglasses and optical frames. Her slightly disheveled hair and perfectly positioned jewelry provide enough of a contrast to make the glasses stand out in each photo. The sunglasses are, once again, wonderfully oversized, with rounded geometric contours and statement temples carrying the Prada logo. The thick rim and slightly muted colors contribute to a sense of quiet luxury that fits right in with the new season’s aesthetic. As for the optical frames, they boast a much slimmer, rather classic silhouette. The delicate pair featured in the campaign is rectangular and also has the Prada wording discreetly inlaid into the temples.
The new Prada Journal glasses come in a grand total of six new styles: three for women and three for men.
