OVERSIZED GLORY – Lately, it seems that brands are all about oversized, statement eyewear. Prada makes no exception and the most recent campaign highlights just this: impressive, bold eyewear in striking colors.

The campaign features model Mica Arganaraz in an apocalyptic, industrial setting that serves as a background for the latest in Prada eyewear. Dressed head to toe in Prada, Arganaraz is looking away from the camera and has a rather indifferent attitude. Her impeccable hair is pulled backwards and her neck is adorned with a small scarf in every shot, making the oversized eyewear stand out even more.

The sunglasses themselves boast thick rims and decorative frames – just what we’ve come to expect from Prada eyewear. As for the colors, they range from black to dark gray and, surprisingly, yellow. The shapes are very much traditional, even if they are wildly oversized: the rectangular and cat eye sunnies are definite highlights, while the rest of the models boast a unique color mix.

This campaign is so uniquely Prada, that it easily rises above the sea of current eyewear campaigns. Watch the promotional video as well, for a 360 view of the entire campaign:
