MAUI JIM TENNIS – You don’t have to be a tennis aficionado to know that glare (caused by light reflecting off of a horizontal surface) can become a real issue at times. If you’ve ever skied, driven competitively or practiced any outside sport, you know that wearing a pair of good polarized sunglasses is paramount.
This is why the newly announced partnership between Maui Jim and ATP is a match made in tennis heaven. With a whopping 46 out of 62 tournaments being played outdoors, it’s easy to see how important a pair of high-performing, polarized sunglasses can be. They are a powerful accessory to have as it is, but their power to render bolder and crisper details becomes essential in the world of sport. Maui Jim will provide the ATP World Tour officials with their products, improving their view of the game. The two names, each at the top of their respective industries, will be joining forces over the span of a three-year agreement.
This isn’t Maui Jim’s first foray into the tennis world. Some of the brand ambassadors include ATP players David Ferrer, Benoît Paire, Philipp Kohlschreiber and WTA player Martina Hingis. Maui Jim’s patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology has been instinctively used by both amateur and professional tennis players until now, but this piece of news is set to make the brand even more visible, while also reaching out to tennis fans everywhere.
