#CastMeMarc – Leave it to the Marc by Marc Jacobs team to come up with something fun, creative and ridiculously cool season after season! Following the raving success of their first campaign to feature non-models as models, this season’s ads are nothing short of fabulous. The kind of fabulousness that will refresh your senses and make you stare on for a while. If last season there were 10 atypical models, this season there are 11, all featured in the same format: two poses in each frame and the black Marc by Marc Jacobs lettering superimposed on top.
The cast in this second unconventional Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign also comes from all across the globe, each with their distinct look or story. The rainbow hair, the fun cuts and hairstyles, along with the playful attitude made this season’s Marc by Marc Jacobs garments look fresh, vibrant and young. Injecting this much life into a runway look and giving it a street-style, real-person feel was no easy feat, yet the team did a brilliant job.
Now, onto the Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear. There were numerous pairs of sunglasses and optical frames sprinkled around in the photos. A couple of dark colors were spotted: navy sunglasses and black eyeglasses. The rest of the Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear came in a two-tone blend of pastel hues. And, taking into consideration that they were a key trend for the Fall/Winter 2014 season, it seems like their reign will extend well into the Spring/Summer 2015 season.
