KATE YOUNG x TURA – The news that stylist Kate Young has teamed up with Tura to launch a collection of retro-flavored eyewear is making the rounds in the fashion industry. And for good reason.
Former Vogue editor, power stylist and all-around industry insider, Kate Young is known for her cool-girl style and signature platinum hair, as well as for the fabulous styling work she does on her famous clients. Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Emilia Clarke, Miranda Kerr, Selena Gomez or Dakota Johnson are just some of the celebs who count on Kate’s keen eye and impeccable fashion sense for red carpet appearances. So, given her impressive resume and extensive styling work, transitioning into design was the natural next step.
Kate Young for Tura
Established in 1938, Tura is a NYC-based optical company that once scored the industry’s first designer brand license with Christian Dior. It’s no wonder that their rich history and tradition pair so well with Kate Young’s refined aesthetics. Which brings us to her line.
Taking a vintage-inspired approach, the Kate Young for Tura collection includes an impressive range of styles: seven sunglasses and six optical frames make up the collection, along with two additional styles for children. Boasting small, refined details like golden triangle accents, semi-rimless designs and a healthy dose of cat eye styles, the Kate Young for Tura collection is as varied as it is chic. The color selection is also broad, going from dark tortoiseshell, gray and black to soft pink and beige. See for yourself! Check out some of the images from the lookbook in the gallery above.
