DUSTY COLORS AND METAL BLINKERS – This is the vibe for the Gucci eyewear for the upcoming colder months. The Gucci RTW show for Fall/Winter 2014-15 was inspired by the sixties and it included practical, super-wearable clothes, filtered through a contemporary aesthetic. Nothing too pretentious or over the top. This general vibe, which governed the apparel, was also reflected in the eyewear. Laid back aviator sunglasses accompanied almost all of the looks, perfectly matching the color-theme.
From dusty pink to green, blue and even black, these cool-looking aviators seem to go with everything. Their light, color-coordinated lenses do not hide the eyes completely – they are just a thin veil of privacy that adds a dose of mystery. And that’s not all. The surprise elements were the removable metal blinkers that accompanied the light metal temples. An unexpected choice? For sure, but a wonderful one at that: it totally hit home! The pastel-colored Gucci eyewear added a cool, throwback-type of vibe that is usually not so easy to do in a convincing matter.
It seems that the sixties, contemporary-styled universe at Gucci is en route to making itself at home. And we don’t even mind. Especially when we have such fabulous pairs of Gucci eyewear to look forward to this fall. Dusty colors and metal blinkers, here we come!
