MAXIMALISM AT ITS BEST – Brunette bombshell Bianca Balti is again the face of Dolce & Gabbana eyewear. But this fact should come as no surprise, knowing that she has been at it for a good few seasons now. In this latest campaign, her classic, mesmerizing looks clash beautifully with the excessive, maximalist philosophy that Dolce & Gabbana are governed by. The Spring/Summer 2015 women’s eyewear campaign was shot by (who else?) Domenico Dolce himself and the visuals are stunning.

Dressed in all-black looks, Bianca shows off the newest Dolce & Gabbana frames, posing both by herself and with an adorable old lady. One of the stand-out brands that branched out by using older models beside the regular, young ones, Dolce & Gabbana pioneer this new trend in their eyewear campaign as well. Locked in an endearing hug, Bianca and the lady wear coordinating oversized frames with elegant butterfly silhouettes.

In the solo images, the volume is turned way up, Dolce & Gabbana style. Bianca is modeling a pair of wildly oversized sunglasses with an impressive lacy contour, as well as a pair of oversized frames decorated with a floral print and polkadots. The tamest pair are some superb black sunglasses with white detailing and the statement DG logo on the temples. The only optical frames to appear in the campaign are a complete departure from the extravagance of the sunglasses department. Subtle, chic and with a sophisticated silhouette that matches Bianca Balti’s tame diva pose, the eyeglasses are timeless and feminine. This last shot is the perfect ending to a dark and extravagant campaign that perfectly blends the philosophy of Dolce & Gabbana with the current industry trends.
