ON A ROLL – After the hot and highly-anticipated campaign featuring Rihanna and the Dior eyes project, the French fashion house rolled out yet a new eyewear campaign. This time, things are toned down a notch, but the glam, prestige and show-stopping frames are all there.

For the summer of 2015, Dior’s dedicated eyewear campaign stars brunette beauty Diana Moldovan, who poses graciously in two photos shot by Peter Lindbergh. With one image featuring sunglasses and the other showing optical frames, the campaign subtly rounds up the main trends of the Dior eyewear for the season. These latest styles are a classic alternative to the season’s already famous metallic and futuristic shapes.

Set in an urban context, the Dior eyewear 2015 campaign shows Diana gazing into the distance through her designer frames as the soft light and misty air of an early morning blur the sharp contours around her. Wearing sequined turtlenecks and with her hair in a disheveled updo, the model looks positively radiant as she allows the newest Dior frames to take center stage.

Both of the glasses have elegant outlines with slightly oversized contours. The sunglasses in particular make a clear case for a ladylike silhouette: with a subtly butterfly-shaped acetate front and textured temples, the latest Dior sunglasses are, simply put, a dream in black and white. And the optical frames aren’t lagging behind, either. Diana is wearing an oversized square pair that combines a touch of nerdiness with a sophisticated allure. And this mix of modern, refined and timeless touches is exactly what the French fashion house stands for.
